Aticle 1.... 26th June 2011 - First Step Of Making Money Online.

All over the world there are thousands, possibly millions, of people making money online and there are also thousands, and also possibly millions, losing out on the money that can be made online.

First of all I must say that I am not making one single penny from this blog as I have other blogs which are making a substantial amount of income and when I began blogging I found mountains of websites telling me that I could make money online for free and then asked me to pay £xxxx for the information to do so, or they offer you blogspace with ads which make almost if not no income whatsoever so I thought I would write a real Blog on this topic.

Secondly, this is no get rich quick scheme, I work a 35 hour week and spend around 5-10 hours a week blogging and I am making an average of £1500 a month, which I believe to be impressive for only a maximum of 10 hours a week.

Now that I have cleared up the suspicion of the pessimists out there let's get started on the steps to making money online for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL.

Let me explain to all the rookies out there what exactly a blog is:

A blog (a blend of the term web log) is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.

Or in even easier terms to understand an online diary or logbook.

Blogs are used to deliver, most of the time, free information on a chosen subject or topic.

An example is this blog your are reading right now which is How To Make Money Online For Free, and this is the free information you are reading also right now.

So your probably wondering...."If this is free information how do you make £1500 a month from 10 hours a week?"

At first do not expect to make thousands of pounds/dollars a week/month in the first 3 months because no matter what you read on the internet, that is IMPOSSIBLE.
Over the timespace of 3 months to 6 months you will notice yourself making a couple of hundred pounds/dollars a month which is reasonable for 10 hours work.
But, if you are unemployed or a stay at home parent or elderly person who wishes to earn a little money while writing about the things they are both good at and love.

So, now we know there is going to be hardwork involved, we have to pick a topic to write about that we love and know well enough to instruct or tutor someone on.

If you are like me at first and don't know what to write about or base your blog on then find a topic you always loved to learn about and study that subject for a period of time untill you feel confident enough to write about it.

If you don't wish to take the time to study a subject and just want to start making money online then try google for ideas on what to blog about.
You could try such searches as:

The most searched topic on google?

Most blogged topic?

Most visited blogs?

These should give you a rough idea about what people enjoy reading and writing about and you can bet that the top listing on google are making a generious profit from there blogspace.

Right, so now that you have chosen your subject area it is time source some free blogging or blogspace sites. Once again try Google and search for Free Blogspace or Free Blog.

The search should return websites like:

www.Blogger.com

www.Blogspot.com

www.Wordpress.com

My personal opinion is that blogger.com is the best suited to blogging beginners but if you try the others and find its better for you then use whatever you feel looks the most professional.

Now its time to sign up to your chosen blogspace site.
Simply input your email and contact details to the forms provided and your ready to create and customize your blog.

Don't worry you don't have to be a website designer or developer to use these blogging platforms they are so easy to use my 3 year old son could start a blog.

Once you have customized your blog you will have to input your heading and tag titles. This may sound complicated but most of these platforms have simple forms that you fill out with what phrase you want to be linked with in the google searches. You will see later in this article why this part of the process is so crucial to your blogs success. If your platform doesn't offer these form for the input of heading and title tags then google How To Input Heading And Title Tags On ......<<< your blogspace name goes here.

So now you've chosen your blog topic(s) and you've also signed up for blogspace, customized your blogspace and inputted your heading and title tags for search engine optimization, its time to start writing articles.
Personally I aim to write one article per night (as I work during the day) and find that the more you write the more people visit as you have more to offer and more for them to read.

Try not to be repeatitive in your articles, if you've covered a certain subject and decide to post another very similar to the previous you may risk loosing traffic as the readers may view you as a lazy writer or not dedicated. After a week you should ideally have between 4-7 articles published to view on your blog. Now that you have articles to read it is time to "draw in the masses". Go to a search in i.e Google, and search for forums with the same topic as you blog and sign up.
Once signed up look for thread or posts that have a common ground with your blog and simply chat with the users who are clearly interested in the subject and recommend your blog for their viewing pleasure.

Most blogging platforms also have the ability to work alongside mass media and social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Gmail, etc.
This makes it even easier to build traffic for your blog as you can build social networking pages for your blog and build a "clientelle" for your blog through your friends list or small ads which unfortunately you must pay for so I stay clear.

Once you have started building your "clientelle" or site traffice it is time to sign up to PPC (Pay Per Click) Programmes.

The best free PPC Programmes in my opinion are:

Google Adsense

Chitika

Context Web

Ad Click Media

Google Adesinse has got to be in my opinion by far the best earner but as with all these programmes your earnings are only based on traffic so no traffic, no money.

The most important thing I can stress to you is SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The better your google rankings the more money you make.

Out of the two hours I spend working on my blogs each night I spend 1 of those hours visiting other forums and blogs. I leave comments and lonks to my blog and find that this is almost like a cold calling approach that would be used in sales and just like cold calling for sales, I also see the benefits of this method.

While visiting blogs and forums try and build friendships/partnerships with other websites which will lead to more traffic.

After you have built a steady traffic stream appraoch business' that have a common ground with your blog and sell advertising space to these companies. Most of the time if you give these business' a reasonable price for ad space they will be more than happy for the extra interest in there services.

The last part of this article will be explained in more detail in the next article which will be published tomorrow - Article 2.... 27th June 2011 - Second Step To Making Money Online.
